JOB DESCRIPTION: Key member of the company’s executive leadership team promoting high performance, driving accountability, enhancing quality, and designing processes and metrics that create visibility into business performance and enable the organization to meet its objectives. Establishes, communicates, and drives the vision, mission, and goals of the finance department. Manages the following accounting functions: Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Inventory Control.
JOB FOCUS: Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
Ensure that Internal Controls are sufficient to adequately protect the assets of the company
Oversee internal and external reporting functions and ensure compliance with GAAP and standards implemented by the company
Assist in the creation, implementation, and progress of company goals
Actively interface with internal and external departments, agencies, and companies
Delegate authority for receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments
Prepare balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statement for internal and external use.
Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting; a minimum of seven (7) years related experience. CPA or other professional designation preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in financial management position(s), with at least three (3) years as a director in an accounting or finance department in complex casino environment, or in public accounting.
Must be familiar with casino regulatory rules and regulations and casino internal control and accounting procedures.
Must have a command of Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Payroll accounting systems and procedures.
Must have a command of Inventory Control accounting systems and procedures.
Read, write legibly, understand and speak English.
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
Proven ability to resolve internal and external conflicts with ease or determine if additional management is needed to resolve the conflict.
A valid Nevada Gaming registration is required and must be obtained before entering this position. May be called forward for licensing by Nevada Gaming Control Board and would be required to be approved by the regulatory authority.
